Accessibility statement

We want everyone who has to keep digital records for HMRC to be able to use Finantr. This page explains how accessible Finantr is and what to do if something does not work for you.

What this statement covers

  • The finantr.com website, including the free tax calculators and the Welsh home page.
  • The Finantr app for iPhone, where you connect your bank and HMRC, keep your records and send your quarterly updates and final declaration.
  • The Finantr web app at finantr.com/app, where you can check your records in a browser.
  • The accountant portal at finantr.com/accountant.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at level AA.

What you can do

You should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 400% without most of the text spilling off the screen
  • make text bigger in the iPhone app using your phone's text size setting, and turn your phone to landscape
  • use the website and web app with a keyboard only, with a visible focus outline and a link to skip to the main content
  • use a screen reader such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver, with form fields, buttons and messages announced
  • choose a light or dark theme
  • turn off animation: we follow your device's reduced motion setting
  • read the home page in Welsh
  • get a warning before you are signed out for inactivity, and choose to stay signed in

We have tried to keep the language plain. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Parts that are not fully accessible

We know about these and are working on them:

  • Only the home page is in Welsh. The rest of the website and the web app are in English.
  • We have not yet finished a full test of the iPhone app with VoiceOver and the largest text sizes.

Tell us about a problem

If you find a problem we have not listed, or you need information in a different format, email help@finantr.com. Tell us the page or screen, what you were trying to do and any assistive technology you use. A person will read it and reply.

If you are not happy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

How we tested

On 2 November 2026 we ran automated WCAG 2.1 A and AA checks (axe-core) on the main public pages, the sign in and create account screens and the accountant sign in, at desktop width and at 320 pixels wide. No failures were found. We also reviewed the code of the web app and the iPhone app for keyboard access, focus handling, labels, colour contrast, error messages and time limits.

On 3 November 2026 we checked again after fixing the problems we found: narrow screen layout on the website, and VoiceOver labels, headings, autofill, colour contrast and reduce motion in version 1.1.1 of the iPhone app.

This statement was prepared on 2 November 2026 and last updated on 3 November 2026. We will review it at least once a year and whenever we make a large change.
